The UPI PIN is similar to a password for your phone. You can set up your UPI PIN by selecting the bank account that is linked to your UPI ID. UPI PIN provides security for all your transactions. UPI PIN is unique to each bank account and ensures the safety of the bank account. You must keep a UPI PIN that is easy to remember. Also, you must never share your UPI PIN with anyone.

It is not that tough to change the UPI PIN in PhonePe. However, it is a step-by-step process that you have to follow:
Open the PhonePe App: Open the PhonePe application on your phone. Before you start any process, check to see if you have logged in to your account.
Go to the 'My Money' Section: Now scroll down from the bottom navigation bar in the app and tap on 'My Money.' Your payment options and settings are available here.
Tap on 'Bank Accounts': Now open 'My Money' and tap on 'Bank Accounts.' This will show you all the bank accounts in your PhonePe account.
You will have to choose the registered phone with a bank account: All of the registered accounts with your profile are coming in front of you, and then you will be given a choice of which one of them you want to update the UPI PIN with.
Now you'll tap 'Change UPI PIN': Now, you will choose the bank with which it will show that is known to be 'change UPI PIN.' And you now click that option with the help of your fingers
Enter new UPI PIN: Set up a new UPI PIN. This should be preferably the pin that you could remember but not easily guess for anyone else. You would then be prompted to input the same PIN twice to confirm.
Verify Change through OTP: Okay. So, after this new PIN, it will ask you to verify the change from PhonePe with OTP. Asking for the same bank because they have stored the same account with your details as you are typing them over there. Then, they will ask again for OTP. You can't do anything about that. Just put it down and thus this changing procedure will not have any problems.

Resetting a new UPI PIN in PhonePe requires no technical knowledge, and the entire process can be completed within a few minutes. The instructions on how to reset the UPI PIN in PhonePe using an Aadhar Number are given below:
1: Open the PhonePe app on your Android or iOS device.
2: Click on your account picture on the home screen.
3: Tap the ‘Bank Accounts’ button to display your saved bank accounts.
4: Select the bank account for which you want to reset your UPI PIN. Your bank account details will appear.
5: Click on the ‘Reset’ button.
6: Select the ‘Aadhar Number linked with bank’ option.
7: Ensure that your Aaadhar Card is linked to your selected bank account and click ‘Proceed’.
8: Verify your Aadhar number by entering its first six digits.
9: Click on ‘Proceed’.
10: Verify the OTP sent to your registered phone number.
11: Enter and confirm your new UPI PIN.

Change UPI PIN in PhonePe Without Debit Card Step-by-Step Guide Consumers should be mindful of these measures when updating their UPI PIN.
Just follow the following simple steps to reset the UPI PIN of PhonePe without a debit card.
Open the PhonePe App: The first step is to launch the PhonePe app on your mobile phone. Ensure that you are logged into your PhonePe account. If you are not logged in, please enter your username and password to log in.
Go to the 'My Money' Section: Once logged in, tap on the 'My Money' section, which is usually available on the bottom menu or under your profile options. My Money" is a section providing info about your linked bank, payment methods and UPI settings.
Select 'Bank Accounts: Under the "My Money" section are several options, such as Bank Accounts, Cards, Wallets, etc. Tap on the 'Bank Accounts' option, which will show you the bank accounts linked to your PhonePe account.
Choose the Bank Account from which you want to Update the UPI PIN: You can find an item in Bank Accounts showing all the bank accounts associated with your PhonePe account. Select the account you want to change the UPI PIN.
Tap on 'Change UPI PIN: After choosing your bank account, a window appears under the "Change UPI PIN" option. Tap on this option to proceed. If you are accessing PhonePe for the first time or have not set up a UPI PIN yet, you will see a new UPI PIN setting option.
Verify Your Identity: At this stage, PhonePe will ask you to prove your identity before deactivating/modifying the UPI PIN. You must authenticate this request through the mobile number (i.e., a mobile number linked to your bank account). Occasionally, you might have to type an OTP (One-Time Password), which will be sent to the registered mobile number.
If you have not already registered your UPI bank account, you will be requested to register your mobile number at this stage.
Enter Your New UPI PIN: Verify your identity, and you will then be asked to enter a new UPI PIN. The PIN is a 4–6-digit integer that is easy for the user to memorise but hard for others to guess. Please protect your newly created UPI PIN and do not use easily guessable numbers (for example, 1234 or 0000).
Confirm the New UPI PIN: After you have entered the new PIN, PhonePe will ask you to verify it by typing it again. This is done to ensure that you've entered the correct PIN and avoid any mistakes.
Completion of UPI PIN Change: After verifying your new PIN, PhonePe will notify you that your UPI PIN has been changed successfully. You can now use this new PIN to authorise payments, fund transfers, and other UPI transactions.

While using the debit card to verify bank account details during registration is standard, such reset or change of UPI PIN is not necessary. You only have to provide your linked mobile number (linked to your bank account and used to verify your identity). Your bank information, such as your debit card, is already verified when you initially set up UPI, so there is no need to do so again with a change of PIN.

Incorrect PIN Format: Please ensure that your new UPI PIN is 4-6 digits long. Resetting it will not be necessary if it is too short or too long.
Incorrect OTP: If you do not receive an OTP on your registered mobile number, verify your network connectivity. You might also need to check if your mobile phone number is linked correctly to your bank account.
