6: An OTP will be sent to the user's registered contact number. Enter the OTP

Linking Credit Cards To UPI Payment Apps (Paytm)

1: Download the Paytm application

2: Go to the Paytm application and click on the profile picture in the top right corner.

3: Click on Payments Settings

4: Click on Saved Cards

5: Tap on Add A New Card

6: Card details such as Card Number, Name, CVV, & Validity must be entered

7: Tap on Submit to link the Credit card to the Paytm UPI app.

After linking the Credit Card to any of the above UPI apps, the user will receive a confirmation message that linking the Credit Card and UPI app is now successful; the process is now added and linked.

Launching UPI With Virtual Debit Cards

A virtual Debit card is a debit card issued to users as an electric form of a Debit Card. To hold a virtual Debit card, the applicant is required to have information such as the User Name, Card Number, CVV and Expiration Date. A virtual Debit card is to be used for all online purchases. Since it is a virtual card, the virtual Debit card can not be used at ATMs to withdraw cash. Banks such as Kotak Mahindra, ICICI Bank, SBI Bank, Axis Bank, DBS DigiBank, and HDFC Bank offer Virtual Debit Cards to customers.

A few banks, such as ICICI Bank and Axis Bank, offer Virtual Debit Cards to their customers that can be used to make UPI Payments to other banks. DigiBank is another Bank that provides its customers with Debit cards that can be used to make UPI payments.

To obtain a Virtual Debit Card, customers are required to follow the steps below:

1: Visit the net banking portal of the particular bank.

2: Head to the “Cards” section

3: Click on “Virtual Dedit Cards”

4: Tap on “Register New Virtual Debit Card”

5: Select the appropriate Card Variant and Account Number.

6: Click on “Validity Month & Year”

7: Mark tick on Declaration Box
