Amazon Pay is a payment option to make payments on the Amazon App, via UPI. Amazon Pay has successfully helped the Indian economy to go “Cash Less”, where every second citizen is purely utilizing online payment methods, one of them being Amazon Pay.
Anyone with a smartphone and a Bank account can register for Amazon Pay and then link it to their UPI ID. If the user holds two Bank accounts, they can be successfully added to the Amazon Application just by tapping on “ Add Another Bank Account” and then following the on-screen instructions.

In order to use Amazon Pay as a payment method, the user has to link the Amazon Pay account to the UPI. UPI is a Unified Payments Interface that allows the user to transfer money among bank accounts using a mobile application. To link an Amazon Pay account to the UPI, the user is required to:
1: Download the Amazon App or head to the Amazon Website
2: Log In and register to then go to the Amazon Pay Dashboard.
3: Tap on “Payment Options” and click on “Manage Bank Account”.
4: The user is then required to look for the option “Add Bank Account Linked To UPI” and select the respective bank account from the list.
5: Tap on “Verify Your Number” and allow Amazon to send you an “SMS” to verify the contact number provided.
6: Finally, the user can set the UPI PIN and follow the on-screen instructions.
In order for the user to link Another Bank account to the UPI, along with an existing one, the user is required to follow the steps below:
1: Open the Amazon App
2: Opt for “Add Another Bank Account”
3: Strictly follow the on-screen instructions given by Amazon.

To set up the Amazon Pay UPI PIN, first, register on the Amazon Application and then register for UPI on the Amazon Application; Amazon now has introduced their own method of payment payment, known as Amazon Pay. After completing the above two steps, the user is then required to follow the following steps:
1: After registering on the Amazon App, the user must head to the Amazon Pay Dashboard and look for Amazon Pay UPI.
2: After tapping on Amazon Pay UPI, the user must enter the Mobile Number linked to the Bank Account and tap on Verify.
3: After verifying the mobile number provided by the user, the user is required to select their respective bank account from the drop-down list and follow the on-screen instructions.
4: The user then should tap on "Set Your UPI Pin."
5: Amazon provides on-screen instructions to set up the UPI PIN; the user is requested to follow those strictly.

There are multiple ways to use the Amazon Pay UPI ID, but the most common use is to make instant cash transactions on the Amazon Application.
1: Amazon Pay UPI can be used to make payments via the user's linked bank account.
2: The user can pay via UPI IDis created using other UPI apps.
3: Amazon Pay UPI ID can be utilized to send money to a recipient.
4: The Amazon Pay UPI ID can be utilized to receive money from the sender.

1: Make sure you have items in the Amazon Cart.

Various other UPI Apps can be used to make payments on Amazon. Customers can also deregister their account on Amazon Pay UPI. Customers can follow the steps mentioned below to deregister their Amazon Pay UPI account:
1: Users must open the Amazon App,
2: Go to “Manage Bank Accounts” and click on UPI Bank account.
3: Finally, tap DEREGISTER.
Businesses generally benefit from this feature of Amazon Pay UPI called AutoPay. Many times, it isn't feasible to re-enter details before every transaction in a business. AutoPay is often used by small to big businesses to make payments over the Amazon App or any other application.
There is a feature on the Amazon App, Amazon Pay UPI, called Amazon Pay UPI AutoPay. This feature allows users to set up recurring payments by utilizing the UPI Mandate. Users who practice businesses can utilize this feature for automated payments, which also means periodic or one-time payments.

UPI Mandate is a feature that allows users to serve up Automated Payments for repeated transactions. Both a business and a user can utilize this feature to make payments daily, weekly, and monthly.
To use the UPI Mandate, the user is required to:
1: Authorize the Mandate with a UPI PIN
2: Specify the amount to be paid.
3: Select how often the payments need to be made.

The amount is then successfully debited from the user's account on the scheduled date.
Setting Up Amazon Pay UPI AutoPay
In order to set up the Amazon Pay UPI AutoPay, the user is required to follow the following steps:
1: Head to the Amazon.in app, and click on the Amazon Pay Dashboard.
2: Click on Amazon Pay UPI.
3: Opt for the mobile number that is linked to the Bank Account.
4: Verify the mobile contact number.
5: Select the bank account from the drop-down list.
6: Follow the on-screen instructions.
If the customer is willing to change the payment method for recurring payments, the following steps must be followed.
1: Next to the payment method exists an Edit Button. The customer is required to click on it.
2: Next to the applicable payment method, the customer can click on the radio button.
3: Customers can then proceed to click on the “Use this payment method” option and confirm.
AutoPay can be set up for recurring payments via Debit cards and Credit cards.

To utilize Amazon Pay UPI on other third-party apps and websites that accept UPI mode of payments, follow the following steps:
1: Enter the Amazon Pay UPI ID on the third-party app or website
2: Validate the information entered on the third-party app or website.
3: Open payment request notification that the Amazon App has sent.
4: Review the notification request and tap on Pay Now.
5: Tapping on Pay Now means the screen will ask the user to add their Amazon Pay UPI PIN to complete the paymentpayment.
6: Post the success of paymentpayment, the user will receive a message stating “Payment Successful” on the Amazon App.
While it is stated above on how to initiate an Amazon Pay UPI payment on other third-party apps and websites, it is important to note that Amazon Pay UPI payment is currently not functional on Amazon Mobile Browser and Desktop browsers.

Amazon Pay UPI and Amazon Pay Wallet are two distinct digital modes of paymentpayment that permit customers to send and receive money.
Amazon Pay UPI: Amazon Pay UPI allows Customers to make DIRECT bank payments using UPI, which stands for Unified Payments Interface.
Amazon Pay Wallet: Amazon Pay Wallet, on the other hand, helps the customer store and load money that can be used for payments on the Amazon App and on other platforms. This digital wallet helps customers manage a separate balance within the Amazon Account. Users are required to add money before using the Amazon Pay Balance.
However, with all the differences set aside, Amazon Pay UPI is needed to initiate money transfers via Amazon Pay Wallet.

Amazon Pay UPI is a method of Payment on Amazon and other third-party apps that accept UPI payments. It allows users to check out quickly and securely online, be it for eligible purchases of goods.
