Gpay, as a platform, allows users to create a UPI ID on the application itself. The ID usually contains the user's name followed by the user's bank name.

Finding Other Users On Gpay UPI

The UPI ID is an address that helps identify the user on UPI; Typically like yourname@bankname To find other users on Gpay to send money to, users can search for their phone numbers in the search bar on Gpay.

Users can ask mutual contacts for assistance if needed, add other users on Gpay, and send money to them.

Users can also ask other users for their UPI ID, which will typically look like 1234567890@xyz.open

Finding Your UPI ID On Gpay

Users can find themselves on the Gpay application and that is done by following the steps below.

1: Get into Google Pay

2: Tap on the photo that’s on the top right.

3: Click on the bank account.

4: Click on the bank account whose UPI ID you want to view.

5: Click on Manage UPI IDs

6: The user's UPI ID will be available under the user's Bank Account Details at the top of the page.

Changing UPI ID On Gpay

People who hold a Gpay UPI ID on Gpay are allowed to delete one UPI ID and change it to another UPI ID. The steps to do that are the following:

1: Open Google Pay

2: Top on the top right, at the photo

3: Click on Bank Account.

4: Tap on the bank account whose UPI ID you want to view.

5: Click on Manage UPI IDs

6: Users can find their UPI IDs under their Bank Account details, which are visible at the top of the page.

7: Users can view “1/3 UPI Ids Added”; you can then click on the drop-down arrow.

8: Next to the UPI ID, users can delete it by tapping on the menu section.

9: Users can tap on “Create" if they want to change to create a new UPI ID or add a new One.

Deleting Gpay UPI ID

Users are permitted to easily delete their Gpay UPI ID on Gpay by following the steps below.

1: Open Google Pay

2: Tape on the top right where the user's photo is.

3: Tap on Bank Account under “Payment Methods”.

4: To delete a Gpay UPI ID, users can tap the bank account they want to delete.

5: To delete, users can click on the three dots available next to the UPI ID.

6: Click on Delete.

However, Gpay has a few safety tips available on the app. Gpay states that users' information linked with UPI accounts is sensitive. Users are requested not to share it on social media or any public platform. Keeping UPI PIN Private: The Gpay UPI PIN must be kept private and not shared with anybody. Nobody must have access to this PIN, as it is the key feature for accepting money transactions. Frauds are easily perpetrated as fraudsters know the UPI ID PIN.

Enable Two-Factor Authentication: A user can enable Two-Factor Authentication, where an OTP will be sent to the registered Mobile Number to create the UPI ID and confirm all transactions. This is one way for Gpay to Boost security while making UPI IDs and transactions.

Checking Transaction History Regularly: Users must check their transaction history regularly to ensure no malicious activities occur.

The risk of fraud is minimal when making transactions on Gpay with a Gpay UPI ID.

Turning On Gpay UPI International

Google Pay allows users to utilize Gpay internationally in other countries. There are a few steps to follow in order to Turn On the Gpay UPI international on their Gpay App, and they are as follows:

1: Get into the Google Pay App.

2: Tap on Scan QR Code

3: Users can then Scan the Shop's QR Code.

4: Enter the amount owed in the appropriate currency.

5: Select the Bank Account that needs to be paid from.

6: Tap in Activate UPI International.

Turning Off Gpay UPI International

To turn the Gpay UPI International OFF, users are required to follow the steps mentioned below:

1: Open Google Pay

2: Go to the User Profile

3: Tap on “Payments Method” and select the bank account linked to UPI International.

4: Click on Manage International Payments

5: Select Deactivate

6: To deactivate or Turn it Off, users are required to enter the UPI ID PIN.

Gpay allows users to link their Bank Accounts to UPI, also known as Unified Payments Interface and also allows its users to add multiple bank accounts to Google Pay Supported Banks are:

Linking Bank Accounts To Google Pay UPI With No Debit Card

Google Pay does not restrict its users from linking Bank Accounts to Gpay strictly with debit or credit cards. Users can also use their Aadhaar card to link their Bank Account to Google Pay UPI. Users can make this happen by following the steps mentioned below:

1: Open Google Pay

2: Tap on the photo available on the screen's top right corner.

3: Select the respective Bank account.

4: Tap on “Add Bank Account” and select the respective bank account.

5: Select the amount that needs to be added to the transfer.

6: Users can enter the first six digits of the user's Aadhaar Card number.

7: On-Screen instructions will be available on the screen for users to follow.

A few points to remember when linking your Bank account to Google Pay UPI via Aadhar Card are:

1: The user's Mobile contact number, which is linked to the Bank Account, must be linked to the user's Aadhaar Card, which will be used to access the Bank Account and Google Pay UPI.

2: Users must contact their bank if the option to "Reset Your UPI PIN” is not found. If, in any case, users are unable to find their Bank on the list, this might not work with Google Pay.

3: Users can also try contacting their bank to learn more information via DigiSaathi.

Users can also reset their Google Pay UPI PIN without a Debit Card or Credit Card. An Aadhaar Card is the solution if, in any case, the user does not have their Debit Card to reset or link the Bank account to Google Pay UPI.

1: Open the Google Pay Application

2: Click on the Photo icon ok the top right corner of the screen

3: Select the Option “Bank Account”

4: Opt for the respective Bank account that is required to be edited.

5: Click on “Forgot PIN” and follow the on-screen instructions.

6: To verify their Bank Account, users can use their Aadhaar Card.

7: Users can then select a new UPI PIN and confirm it.

Entering The Wrong Google Pay UPI PIN

By any chance if users are noticed entering the Google Pay UPI PIN more than three times, users will be locked out of transactions for the next 24 hours. In order to regain access to the Google Pay UPI, users need to reset their UPI PIN.

Users can now link their Bank Account to Google Pay UPI via Aadhaar Cards if they do not have their Debit card. This process can also be done on the Gpay application by clicking on the top right corner of the screen, which portrays the user's profile picture.
